Artifact Reflection:
This project gave me an opportunity to explore the Constructivist theory and apply that theory to the use of technology in the classroom. The project also required me to complete a professional development section. Until this project, I have never been responsible for any staff training or preparing for that type of lesson. It was very helpful to do an activity of that nature before taking on a position that may require me to do teacher training. I also enjoyed finding new uses of technology to be incorporated into teacher's daily lessons.

Rationale:
ISTE-TF.1 - This project shows an ability to incorporate a variety of technologies into daily lessons, as well as, how to train teachers to utilize the technologies.
ISTE-TF.2.A - This project allows teachers to incorporate technology into their lessons. The use of technology allows teachers to vary the degree of expectation for each individual child. Technology components can be included for gifted and lower ability students.
ISTE-TF.3 - This project helped encourage teachers to train other teachers in the use of technology. Teachers were shown how to use certain example of technology for a variety of purposes to increase student learning.
ISTE-TF.5 - This project allowed for many technological opportunities to assess student learning and performance. Students were required to prepare for an online debate to be scored by a debate site. The project also required students to create informational pamphlets regarding their research topics.

Course Reflections:
1. What new learning occurred for you in this course?
I learned a lot about gaming and the possibility of including games in the curriculum to increase student interest.
2. Indirectly, what did your students and/or other teachers learn from this course?
- My students learned how to prepare for a debate and then debate a topic online. The teachers in my school learned how to create a pamphlet that they can use as an assessment tool.
3. What did you learn that will help you address diverse student needs and promote equitable access to current technologies?
- I learned about different pieces of software that would be helpful for various levels of ability; for example, Inspiration, co writer, and voice recognition. Simulations was another aspect of computing that seemed like a very strong technique to use with students.
4. How would you design professional development for other teachers who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills related to the goals of this course?
- I think I would show a PowerPoint with several technology ideas that could be incorporated into the classroom. After the PowerPoint, I would ask the teachers to choose two or three ideas they would be interested in using. I would then show the teachers how to complete the activity and help them to create a direction sheet and a sample for their classroom.
5. How has this course enabled you to take a leadership role in your school or district?
- This course has enabled me to take a leadership role in my school because it allowed me to present new and useful information to the teachers of EJH. Until this course, I had never done any professional development. I really enjoyed sharing a new technology that would be useful for teachers and fun for students.
