TIE 533 - This project really meant a lot to the teachers of EJH.  I was very proud to create something useful for my department.  the best thing about this project was the experience it gave me with databases.  I now use databases to store and manipulate data for many activities that I complete in my class.   This project has really assisted me in keeping track of and using student test scores to drive my curriculum and that is a big push in my district.

TIE 536 - This project gave me an opportunity to explore the Constructivist theory and apply that theory to the use of technology in the classroom.  The project also required me to complete a professional development section.   Until this project, I have never been responsible for any staff training or preparing for that type of lesson.  It was very helpful to do an activity of that nature before taking on a position that may require me to do teacher training.  I also enjoyed finding new uses of technology to be incorporated into teacher's daily lessons.

TIE 542 - This project gave me the opportunity to learn how to build a web page.  I learned how to use Dreamweaver which was a huge accomplishment for me.  Looking ahead to the possibility of a technology position, this experience has made me more marketable.  I am excited at the prospect of building and using web pages to energize my teaching.

TIE 544 - This project was very difficult for me.  I used a few new programs to create this presentation.  In the end, I am proud of what I accomplished.  I learned that a multimedia project can be a huge undertaking or a small project that helps students move on the road to discovery.  I have found another tool to engage students in the content of my class.  I also learned how difficult learning a new program can be which helps me understand my students a little more when they are completely in the dark about a new concept.

TIE 547 - This project has given me the opportunity to improve my ability to use the Macromedia Dreamweaver program.  I have gained a better understanding of how to use Dreamweaver; therefore, increasing my ability to engage students in the activities I present.  I also now have the knowledge to teach my students how to use Dreamweaver to create their own web pages or a classroom web page.  Since this particular activity was based on professional development, I am returning to school with a program I will use during an institute to increase teacher use of reading strategies in all classes.

TIE 557 - I really enjoyed this benchmark project.  Although I found the assignment difficult, the project afforded me the time to learn about my district network.  I was also given the opportunity to work with the network manager of my district and have some hands-on experience with the server.  I now feel that I have established more of a relationship with the technology team in my district.  Since this project, I have been communicating with them on a much more regular basis and exchanging ideas to incorporate more technology in my classroom and have been a sounding board for them in helping decide what teachers might need in the future which is helping them to make network decisions for the future.  Overall, I considered this project to be a positive growth experience.

TIE 592 - Reflect on this portfolio - It was slow going, but I learned so much.  I took the basics that I learned with Craig and really ran with them.  I'm extremely proud of the work that went into this portfolio.  These past two years have really been an experience and going over each activity and lesson as I enter it into this portfolio reminds me of how much I've grown these past two years.

TIE 593 - This artifact was particularly important to me as I have been asking my district for a SMART board since I arrived.  I was very excited when they decided to purchase some and asked me to pilot one.  Writing this project has given me the research to back up what I see occurring in my classroom.  It has also allowed me to become one of the teachers others come to when they need technology help.  Finally, I know I can help the district with this research when it is time to discuss future SMART board purchases.
